I could go on about this curious company offering a taste of travel from years gone by, but instead I’ll just encourage you to visit their site as it contains a lot of great images, links to testimonials and, of course, booking information. While I can find records of at least two on-board proposals, I still wonder if the 12-person cabin has ever been the scene of a wedding itself. Wouldn’t it be the perfect locale for a Steampunk-inspired affair?

I mean, if it’s atmospheric enough for Tim Burton to be a former resident, might it work for your dark wedding?

In 2006 there were rumblings about “the future” and weddings in space. We even caught a first glimpse of the Zero Gravity dress by Japanese designer Eri Matsui. Three years later, we’re still waiting. But for you suborbital-dreamers who don’t have an extra $2.2 million sitting around or the patience to wait for Rocketplane XP to finaly take flight, there’s still hope.

Space enthusiasts Erin and Noah have taken matters into their own hands. The couple plan to exchange their vows on the G-Force One, a modified Boeing 727 that takes its passengers to weightless heights. It’s not exactly space, but it does warrant the awesome Zero Gravity dress that Erin had made in Japan. You can follow their wedding planning journey here: zerogravitywedding.com

Holy cats! How awesome would it be to get married inside an orgone accumulator?! Yeah, we know that Einstein tested Reich’s theories about omnipresent sexual energies that could be harnessed via specially shaped chambers and found no evidence to support the theory, but c’mon, what could be a more perfect place to proclaim your love for someone? (Although we think the bride and groom would have to be the only ones in the chamber, with the officiant’s voice piped in and the procedure transmitted via webcam to the guests…)

Seriously, though, what is love if not a mystical unmeasurable energy? Why not channel it through an orgone accumulator (Plus, the first song of your reception is chosen for you…)
