According to Wikipedia (which is always right, of course):
One of the earliest known uses of the exact phrasing “the witching hour” is from the 1831 edition of Frankenstein in the introduction by Mary Shelley: “Night waned upon this talk, and even the witching hour had gone by before we retired to rest.”
We’ll admit (somewhat shamefacedly) to not knowing this when we named one of our latest designs, Witching Hour.

We just felt that phrase summed up the feelings an ancient monument bathed in moonlight.
We’re happy to ring in this October season with the Witching Hour and look forward to bringing you more macabre designs throughout the month!
